Your New Favorite Swimwear Line wholesale halloween costumes Favors Comfort Over Sexiness—and Nothing's Over from chen xu's blog

The list of wholesale halloween costumes swimwear problems is seemingly endless: string bikinis that don’t stay put, lack support, or barely cover anything; the lack of chic conservative pieces; suits that rip, disintegrate, or lose their shape over time. Shopping for swimwear can be disheartening… but cofounders Lori Coulter and Reshma Chamberlin are doing something about it with the launch of their swimwear brand Summersalt.

The two combined swimwear manufacturer China Coulter’s 10 years of swimwear design experience and Chamberlin’s direct-to-consumer business background to deliver high-quality, sustainable suits (that would normally retail at $200+) made from recycled polyamide that not only boasts UPF 50+ protection, but is also five times more durable than traditional swim fabrics, all for—wait for it—a reasonable price of $95.

“We do everything in-house, from wholesale swimwear product development to pattern-making to product design, which makes us unique and allows us to be good at rapid prototyping, so we can add styles throughout the year,” Chamberlin explains. “We think swimwear is an integral part of anyone’s wardrobe, and by cutting out the middleman, we’re truly delivering a higher-quality product at a very affordable price.”

Oh, and there’s also the option of an at-home try-on program that lets consumers mix and match six pieces, along with one surprise rec. But most impressive is Summersalt’s incredibly diverse inventory of more than 100 styles, ranging from swimwear leggings (for the active or the conservative) to sporty one-pieces to bikinis, each designed with the promise of comfort, fit, and the ability to withstand “life beyond the lounge chair.”

“We wanted to avoid oversexualized, uncomfortable swimsuits,” Coulter says. “We took a fresh, athleisure approach to how swimwear should fit, and we ended up with a very sleek, sophisticated look that’s fun and adventure-ready. Each suit is beautiful and comfortable, and there’s a wide range so every woman can find her perfect fit.”

Translated, that looks like cool colorblock one-shoulder one-pieces; string bikinis designed so that even when the tie is undone, they won’t fall off; sporty cutaway tops; high-waist briefs; and rash guards and swim tanks. There’s also little to no hardware—a deliberate move to eliminate discomfort (any digging in or pressure) and garment malfunctions. And because the fabric has been tried and tested by Olympic swimmers (read: hours upon hours in the pool), these designs will hold up during any activity.
